Corfu Mega Yacht Marina

Corfu’s highly anticipated mega-yacht marina is on the cusp of realization as its sub-concession agreement proceeds to the Greek Parliament for final ratification. This is a pivotal moment, marking the first time in over 20 years that Greece has undertaken a major greenfield marina project of this scale, setting the stage for a significant economic transformation on the Ionian island.

The development is a joint effort involving the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) and LAMDA Corfu Marina S.A., a subsidiary of LAMDA Marinas Investments. The company has pledged an investment exceeding €50 million for the construction and development of the facility. Over the course of the 40-year agreement, the total value to the Greek State is projected to surpass €89 million.

Strategically located within the Port of Corfu, the modern marina will accommodate up to 98 vessels as long as 140 meters. Beyond the docking facilities, the plans include developing a 39,400 square meter land zone for high-end ancillary services, such as commercial outlets, restaurants, and a hotel. This integrated approach is designed to cater to the discerning clientele of the superyacht industry.

By moving towards implementation, the project will solidify Corfu’s status as a key destination in the Mediterranean yachting sector, linking Greece with other luxury ports in the Ionian, Adriatic, and beyond. Government officials emphasize that this upgrade to the country's tourism infrastructure is expected to generate substantial new employment and deliver significant, multifaceted economic benefits to the local community and the national economy.
