Greece Emerges as Global Capital of "Dock and Dine" Culture

Greece has officially been named the world’s top culinary destination for restaurants accessible exclusively by sea, according to a comprehensive global study by BoatBooker. Analyzing over 1,000 locations across 45 countries, the research solidifies Greece’s position as the undisputed leader in the "dock and dine" sector.

The study applied rigorous criteria to identify these elite spots. Greece outperformed all other nations, boasting 349 unique sea-access-only restaurants. This figure represents a staggering 34% of the global total, highlighting the country's superior maritime infrastructure and coastal hospitality.

While high performance was recorded across the nation, specific regions emerged as premier gastronomic hubs. The Saronic, Ionian, and Dodecanese islands showed the highest density of top-rated establishments. Notably, the islands of Hydra, Paxos, and Symi were recognized for their consistency and exceptional quality.
